Christmas came and went, with a bit of snow here and a bit of too much food there, training was not always the first priority.
Still my stamina and ability is on the increase, last run was quite an enjoyable one and I'm looking forward for the next one.
Let's mention the charity I support, Everyman, which fights testicular and prostate cancer. Everyman is a campaign that was launched by The Institute of Cancer Research in 1997. This is their website and you can find much more about them than I can write here. [http://everyman-campaign.org/About_Everyman]
The reasons I support Everyman comes from my dad's little misadventure with the illness, he was lucky enough to fight a clean fight. He is a very active young grand dad and I wish I was as athletic and strong as he is.
Fighting the illness was a battle for him and for many people.
This however is a war, so charities like Everyman and the Cancer Research Institute fight the war.
Me and many other runners out there combine our personal enjoyment with the chance of making some extra money and raise awareness for these charities but you who donate are the ones Everyman must thank, I just tag along two things and sweat about it only when I run!
It makes me feel good and look good and that's the most important thing.
